iOS 26.1 turns off Load Remote Images in Mail app

I have an iPhone 16 pro max and since installing iOS 26.1 my Mail app keeps turning Load Remote Images on.

I’ve seen previous threads and deleted my VPN and email account. I reapplied the email account but have not installed the VPN again. The app still turns it off.

im sure this is a 26.1 bug.
