Note only partially syncs between Mac and iPhone

I often make notes on my MacBook Pro, then when away from home I will need to see that note on my phone. Occasionally though, a note will only partially sync. Here's what happens:

Let's say I add 4 lines of text to an existing note on my MacBook Pro. While away from home I will call up that note on my phone, but find only 2 of the 4 lines I added show up.

This means that the note must have synced, because at least some of the new text is there. It seems to be a matter of not syncing completely, although I'm not sure how that's possible.

I have confirmed that I'm not crazy several times by taking a screenshot of the note on the phone and comparing it to the note on my Mac when I get home. Eventually as I make further changes the note will usually fully sync and all is well again... until the next time. I often have lists of things and obviously this is a real problem if I can't rely on the list being complete.

Has anyone else seen this before?
