Mac Pro won't keep screen size settings

My macpro won't keep the screen size: jumps to 1/2 page. then to oversize, no matter how often I adjust margins it won't stay. How do I make it keep my margins?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.7

Not sure I get it...?

Is this Tiling... try turning it off and compare your results

¿Page margins?

Is this happening inside one specific application?

I don't think I explained the problem correctly: by "pages" I just mean what ias on the screen which I am trying to read--right now everything on my sceen is squashed over to the left & type is 10-12pt, the little box & arrow at top right are not visible. I know any minute this will change, the whole thing may expload, both L & R margins & scroll bar will be off screen & I will have lost place in instructions I was trying to understand.

Sometimes if I tap the screen it will all swoop back into place, often something completely different will show up, or 2-3 things at once on top of each other--It's starting again now I will sign off & maybe you'll be able to read it

So this is the built-in display on the MacBook Pro 13-in?
