Facetime bug - video/window disappears after call is picked up.

Macbook air, M1, 2020. MacOS Tahoe v26.1

When I open the facetime app and make a videocall, when the call is picked up, my facetime window disappears. I can hear the audio from the other end, but there is no video, since the facetime app is basically minimized. The other person sees me and hears me normally. Anyone know the fix?
