Plug in microphone usbc issues iPhone 16

Hi, I have an iPhone 16. I just got a blue yeti mic and I have a usbc adapter for the wire from the blue yeti to plug to my phone. It turns on, but my

ipjone doesn’t use the audio from it. I’ve had this experience with another microphone too so it’s my

phone with the issue or the usbc adapter. Do I need an adapter from

apple or how do I fix this please and thank you?
