iWork apps fail to collaborate on iCloud documents via Mail

When I attempt to collaborate on a document in iWork (e.g., Pages), I receive the following error message:

Unable to Share iCloud Document

Mail is unable to share the iCloud document with these recipients.

If I do Share > Collaborate > Mail, type in the e-mail address, then click Send, it gives me the following message.

I've tried both iCloud and non-iCloud addresses, the error is the same.

Through trial-and-error, I managed to find that if I share via iMessage, I managed to get it to work. Additionally, if I collaborate through Finder directly (not via Pages or Numbers), it works without any problem. iCloud.com works fine, too.

I'm running Tahoe 26.1 on a MacBook Air (M4) and Mac mini (M1).

I'm guessing this is a bug or a glitch but wanted to know if there was something I'm missing or if this is something others have run into. Thanks!
