Directory Sync in Apple Business Manager

I want to enable Directory Sync to Google Workspace for Managed Apple IDs and I have already gone through Domain Capture, but it found more than 2700 conflicts. My understanding is that once the Sync is enabled, all those remaining conflicting accounts that were not transferred will be provisioned. Is there a way to adjust what exactly get's synced or is that just an "enable/disable" type of process where you don't have much input as an Admin?

Directory Sync in Apple Business Manager is not granular. Once you enable it, ABM provisions Managed Apple IDs for all users in the Google Workspace OU you choose. Conflicting accounts will not sync until users resolve their conflict, but ABM will still provision every non-conflicting account. If you want to control which users sync, the only method is to place those users into a dedicated OU in Google Workspace and configure Directory Sync to use only that OU.
