How to pin the translate pop up window?
e.g. select some text in another language (in any app where text is selectable) and in the context menu select 'translate'
Once you have done this, it would be great to just have the pop up window pinned open.
But how?

As you may have observed, that translate pop-up window is resistant to anything other than the language selector or buttons on it. It cannot be moved, resized, or pinned anywhere. Just as Apple designed it.
These are fellow user-supported and public communities where no Apple employees participate.
You can send direct feature request feed-back to the macOS product team, though do not expect any response owing to the volume of "customizing" requests.
