Apple Maps app size growing to 22GB

hi i offloaded Apple Maps a long time ago but the app keeps growing no matter what i do. i've restarted my phone, tried cutting back on storage in case it was a glitch, and nothing has worked. the app right now is 22GB and is my biggest app even though i rarely even go anywhere.
