Cannot open Apple Remote Desktop
I recently got a new MacBook Pro M4 max. It is running Tahoe 26.1 (the most current as of today). I have never launched Apple Remote Desktop on this new Mac until I tried this morning. It did the usual first time start up procedure of prompting to create a password to "prevent unauthorized access to this application…" When I attempt to create a password and click continue, it displays this prompt: "The password and verified password are not the same, please retype the password". If I have never opened Apple Remote Desktop on this Mac and have never created this password before on this Mac, how can this be? I've done this before several times previously over the years on many different Macs and have never had this happen. I've tried opening keychain to see if there is a password saved for Remote Desktop, but there is no entry for this app (no surprise there since I had never launched it on this Mac). So, now what? I really need to use ARD on this Mac. Is there a file I can delete to "reset" it to never launched before. I wouldn't think so as that function is typically handled by Keychain Access.
