Renaming voice memo makes it unusable, macos tahoe 26.1

After renaming voice memo, it becomes unusable. Can't play or edit, or share or copy it anymore.

I am on macos tahoe 26.1.

There is a constant issue with renaming, when I rename the memo but it suddenly, even as i type the new name reverts back to the old name, or after i press enter it reverts back to the old name, it was happening for a while now, but then now a couple times, after renaming I can't play the memos anymore. Really annoying, lost couple important ones. Is there any way I can fix this? Make those memos workable again?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 26.1

Meddling with AI, helped me find a fix. You gotta use terminal.

Go to your voice memo recordings folder. You can open it directly from the terminal

open ~/Library/Group\ Containers/group.com.apple.VoiceMemos.shared/Recordings

Sort by last modified and find your recording that doesn't play and copy paste it to some folder, like your desktop.

use ffmpeg like this

ffmpeg -i corrupted_file.m4a -c copy repaired.m4a
