Calendar app on Mac Mini

I am running Tahoe 26 Mac Mini

My problem is in viewing the calendar the title of the day i.e. Mon Tue etc and the corresponding number i.e.1 2 3 for example today is Mon Dec 8 these bits are now on the right side of the "cell" instead of the left and makes it very hard to wrap your mind around.

Ive tried changing font size and font gone through all the settings in calendar. what am I missing

how can I get it back to normal where they are on the proper side of the "cell or block"
