2019 Mac Pro Log In Problems with Tahoe

I am having difficulty with my 2019 Mac Pro since I upgraded to macOS Tahoe. I have in Intel Xeon processor on that computer, not Apple silicon. And I am running macOS Tahoe 26.1 on that computer.

When I restart the computer the display shows the Tahoe Day image rather than the Utah Evening image that I have selected as a wallpaper.

Also, the computer does not see my attempts at typing in my log in password from my Logitech MX Keys keyboard that is connected with Bluetooth. I have to retrieve my old Apple keyboard, turn it on, charge it up, and wait for it to connect via Bluetooth before I can type my log in. This is annoying.

After I log in with the Apple keyboard and the boot process completes the correct wallpaper image displays and the computer sees the Logitech keyboard.

Separately, restarting and logging in to my 2024 MacBook Pro with the Apple M4 Max processor is working fine. I'm also running macOS Tahoe 26.1 on the MacBook Pro.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

What you see at startup is the SYTEM wallpaper. What you see once you specify what user and enter that password is the wallpaper for that user. That is not likely to be a defect.

Settings made by an ADMIN user are more likely to be adopted as global defaults. Settings made by a non-Admin user are not likely to apply globally.
