How do I recover missing physical addresses in contacts after upgrading from iPhone 11 to 17?

A lot of the physical addresses that i had entered into the contacts on my old iphone seem to have dissapeared? this year i upgraded from an iphone 11 to 17 - but i have only just realised that some whole contacts have gone - even though their numbers are still in whatsapp, whilst otehrs are found but without their physical address details - and it also doesnt offer a place to enter a physical address when i find them in the contacts???
