Experiencing weak integration between Siri and ChatGPT.

I’m experiencing an issue with Siri when ChatGPT is enabled. When I ask Siri a question, it doesn’t provide the same detailed or accurate response as ChatGPT directly. It seems Siri isn’t fully transmitting the query to ChatGPT or isn’t allowing ChatGPT to use live web search, even though the feature is enabled.

Could you help me understand why Siri isn’t returning the same quality or completeness of information? When will Apple fix this so Siri is useful again? Otherwise, I’m just using the App Store or a browser to ask questions.

Here’s an example of a question I asked Siri: “What’s the release date of MacOS 26.2?” I asked this on December 6, 2025. I also tried using Spotlight, but it was completely useless.

Here’s what works today:

✔ Invoke ChatGPT explicitly:

Say:

“Siri, send this to ChatGPT…”

then ask your question.

This bypasses many (not all) filters.

✔ Use the ChatGPT app’s Siri shortcut:

In ChatGPT → Settings → Siri & Shortcuts → “Ask ChatGPT.”

Use the command:

“Hey Siri, Ask ChatGPT…”

This sends the full query with fewer Apple restrictions.

✔ Use the ChatGPT desktop app

You get:

Real web search
Full model context
No Apple filtering

And the answers will look like what ChatGPT should be giving you.
