AirPods Max auto-disconnect and become unresponsive

I have Airpod Maxes, the USB type A ones, and they have a connection issue. Every time I go around an hour without using them, they will have auto disconnected from whatever device I was using them with, and won't react to any button presses. I have to hard reset them each time by pressing both buttons for 15 seconds, and that doesn't work either. They do this with both my iPhone and windows laptop, so it's definitely an issue with the headphones. Moreover, they are always charged, and charge is never the issue. I have also tried disconnecting the hinges and cleaning with Isopropyl Alcohol and Q-tips, using an electronic duster, and cleaning the charging port, none of which have solved the issue. Having to reset the headphones and re-pair them with any device gets tiring every time, so any tips would be appreciated.
