Can't undo automatic text effects in iMessage

Is there a way to turn off the feature where iMessage automatically applies a text effect to a message without asking for approval without turning off predictive text entirely? I have been experiencing an extraordinarily frustrating issue in which I actually CANNOT undo whatever effect it has decided to apply without my consent no matter what I do. I don't want to send every all caps "WOW???" with the BIG effect. It is frankly absurd how difficult it is to undo this. Why can I turn off autocorrect but not automatic text effects? I promise you, if I wanted to add a text effect to my message, I would do so on purpose.

My phone's iOS is up to date. I have restarted my phone multiple times. I am using an iPhone 13 Pro.
