Find My app showing items I no longer have

In the Find My app the “items” tab only shows 2 devices I no longer have. There is nothing in the documentation showing how to delete them. The devices shown in the “devices” tab are correct. Why does the items tab show devices I no longer have and why can’t I delete them?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 15.7

Go to https://account.apple.com/

Sign in and in the Devices section, visit each 'former' device listed and remove from your account.

You HAVE to explicitly remove them, they will not go away on their own accord.

Yes, you can do it from a mobile too, but that URL is 'the root', the entry to your record of existence within Apple and so much more consistent to carry out such matters.

That isn't working. I don't think you understand my issue:

I just got a new iPad Air and I also have an iPad Mini 7 (which I named "Minipad7), which I plan to keep. After transferring the system from the Mini to the Air (and not erasing the Mini), my Air was automatically named "Minipad7(2)". I then went into the settings on the Air and renamed it "AirPad".

However, when I go into Settings/Apple Account on my MacBook Pro it still shows "Minipad7(2)" under Devices and I can neither change the name nor delete it.

How does this make any sense????
