Just today I started having a problem getting text message alert notifications. I checked the notifications tab in settings and everything is correct there. I rebooted the phone several times with no effect. When I rec'd a text message and opened it in the message center I noticed that the "hide" function was enabled. I don't know how that happened. I don't believe I accidently did it. So I disabled it and now I have the tone alert notification, however, when I swipe left on the message to delete, in the message app, I now notice that the "bell" icon now has a hash line thru it. If I remove the hash line then I have no notification. Something that was never there before. So, I'm at a loss figure this out. Some help site suggested that I uninstall and reinstall the message app. ANy suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
