Sign in with Apple - Password reset email not arriving (Patreon)

Patreon offers the option to switch away from SIWA by requesting a password reset that sends an email with a link to the email address used by SIWA for Patreon that then should be forwarded to your standard email address (Gmail in my case).

But no such email arrives, it also doesn’t show up in Gmail’s Junk or All Mail folder. My best guess is that whatever filtering SIWA uses to ensure that only emails from the actual service SIWA is used with, is blocking this email. I’ve found a report basically describing the same thing with another service.

My first goal here is to figure out whether this is a systemic issue, or whether this is Patreon-specific, or I am just having bad luck. And of course ideally to find a workaround.
