Quickest way to delete 100s of emails from selected senders, in bulk - nothing seems to work
Hi - I have a question about searching for received emails in Apple Mail. I am using a MacBook Air (M1 chip) using OS 15.7.2.
I would like to know how to search for several different email addresses simultaneously, using the Apple Search bar in Mail, or by some other means. The intention is to make deletion of emails fast and efficient.
The reason being that I get 100s of emails per day, many of which I don't have time to read, or which aren't really important at that particular moment, so that I need to delete many emails. "Unsubscribing" is not always my first choice, as emails from those particular senders may become relevant - or I might have more time for them - at a point in the near future.
The way that I have been doing this hitherto is by copying and pasting one particular email address into the Search bar, seeing all those emails come up, clicking Command A - and then deleting. Then I have to repeat the process for another email address - and another, and so on.
It is a very time consuming exercise indeed.
I suddenly thought: why can't I add several addresses into that one search bar and then Apple Mail can collect all the emails I intend to delete in one place, I can click Command A - and hey presto, delete hundreds of emails quickly and efficiently. I still need to find a way to do it without researching what is that specific email address, then copying and pasting etc.
Despite trying to follow instructions, none of which worked, I am no closer to achieving this rapid way of doing it.
Please will anyone who knows that there is a proven method to achieve what I am trying to do enlighten me?
Thanks in advance 🙏🏻
