Can not type with Chinese type method in Spotlight

Can not type with Chinese type method in Spotlight.

There should be some English characters displaying when I type and a box for me to choose which Chinese characters I want to type. But in my case, nothing displayed when I type. Even pure number can not be type if Chinese type method is activated.

Under my test, both English and Japanese works fine but no characters can be displayed under Chinese type method. I can either change the type method with Caption or control + Space. Once I'm not using Chinese, it will restore.
