In order to get the redemption code of a Gift Card, you have to provide both the serial number on the physical card AND the receipt. One or the other will be of no value.

There isn't any coverage for lost gift cards; you'd need to buy another one. For reference, the people on these boards are mostly other customers and won't have the code in any case.
