Yes — voice-cloning from old recordings can work, even if she can’t speak now

There are “voice-banking” / “voice-cloning” systems explicitly built for people who lose their ability to speak.

AI voice-synthesis platforms today (2024–2025) can make a synthetic voice that “resembles” a real voice based on recorded samples, with reasonable realism.

Once created, that voice can be used as a “speech-generating voice” (text → speech) — so she writes the message on the iPad and hears it spoken in her “own” voice (synthetically).
