Facebook notifications on iPad require iPhone view

I have been getting the notification dot on my Facebook icon on my iPad but unable to see the notifications. At times there are 9+ but opening the notifications and even pulling down does nothing. Once I go to my iPhone and go to the notifications they download there and are then available on the iPad. I checked all of my settings on each and they appear identical.

Force Facebook to treat the iPad as an active device

On your iPad:

Open Facebook
Go to Menu → Settings → Accounts Center
Tap Password and Security → Where you're logged in
Remove the old iPad login sessions if you see multiple
Log out of Facebook on the iPad
Log back in

This refreshes FB’s push token and forces the server to treat the iPad as a primary push target.
