How to fix the inability to change Calendar notification sound on iPhone by resetting all settings?

FIX: For users who can’t change calendar notification sound.

So…. Like many; after over two years of being stuck with the inability to set/change the notification sound for Calendar events, here’s a solution that actually worked for me. Sharing in case it works for others!

(Note: this step resets certain settings such as FaceID, WiFi Connection, Wallet, etc but doesn’t seem to effect anything you can’t re-setup fairly easily.)

Go to Settings > General > Transfer or reset iphone.

Click “Reset”

That should open another list of “reset” options. Click “Reset all settings”.

It’s really weird that worked for me, whereas a soft reset and hard reset didn’t.

The sound which I was stuck with previously was “minuet”. I wasn’t able to delete it prior to this, but I noticed that after performing the above, it no longer exists as an option, so perhaps they realised it was buggy and removed it. I know others have the same problem but with different sounds, so I hope this works for you too.
