iPad requests password for inactive account
Browsing internet, iPad requesting outlook password on account no longer using
iPad, iPadOS 26
Microsoft accounts (Outlook/Exchange/Hotmail) use persistent background authentication tokens in:
- Mail framework
- Contacts sync
- Calendar sync
- Files app
- Safari autofill
- Microsoft account daemon
Even if one piece remains, iPadOS will ask for the password.
