macOS Tahoe 26.1: Finder slow, Recovery shows Sequoia

After updating to macOS Tahoe 26.1, I noticed that all applications that need to interact with the Finder have become very slow. For example, when I do a simple “Save As” from Illustrator to the Desktop, the window takes a long time to open and display its contents. This behaviour occurs in all applications.

I wanted to reinstall macOS Tahoe 26.1 from macOS Recovery, but in the reinstall option only macOS Sequoia is shown. Is it normal for this version to appear, or shouldn’t the latest version installed on the Mac be shown instead?

Thank you in advance for your attention.
