AirPods 4 not connecting or discoverable

My daughter's brand new air pods 4 no longer connects to her iPhone. They are no longer discoverable. We have reset the headset, forgot the device and they are still not connecting.

B. Verify the Balance:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Accessibility
  4. Scroll Down: to Hearing
  5. Adjust: the audio volume balance

A. Reset the Bluetooth Module:

Resetting the Bluetooth Module in that method is simply just no longer an option in today's macOS versions, being it was canned. For reference, I wrote this user tip back in April 2021, prior to the release of macOS Monterey: Use "Reset the Bluetooth module" to Fix Constant Bluetooth Disconnections - User Tip. So, try the following...

  • Restart the Mac
  • Reset the SMC and your NVRAM:
  • Use this Terminal Command:
sudo pkill bluetoothd
