Why is my email share extension not working on mac

My share extension for my email isn't working. I attempted to edit my sharing capabilities to add my email, however the toggle is already switched on-just to a lighter blue color. And sharing to/with my email still does not work. I've attached an image of what I'm seeing. Please help?
