Messages iCloud storage not updating after deletion

Last week, I had 72,000 messages showing on iCloud Messages. A few days later, I deleted almost all of them using my iPhone. I also deleted them from iCloud Recently deleted.

So, now, I only see a few messages in the app on all my devices. However, when I look at Messages iCloud on my Mac or iPhone, it shows that there are 72,000 messages there taking up about 3Gb, whereas all devices show only about 300Mb on device.

Can someone tell me what is going on here?
