Would an Apple Watch Ultra 3 (GPS + Cellular) purchased in Canada work with Australian cellular telecom providers?

Want to buy an Apple Watch Ultra 3 in Canada, but I plan on moving to Australia soon and would like to know if the watch's cellular functions will work with Australian cellular telecom providers.

Not necessarily. Each Apple Watch is optimized for use in the country of purchase, and not all models work in all countries and regions. There is no single model that supports cellular service worldwide. So by using a model with different bandwidth's then the place you'll be using it, you can experience slower cellular speeds.

Thats not even mentioning that warranty won't be valid in Australia. The same goes for some features that aren't allowed in Canada but may be in Australia, and as a result since your model was configured for sale in Canada, the features may not be available to you. Your best bet is to purchase the Watch when you arrive in Australia and not worry about any of these issues.

Thanks! I hadn't considered that the warranty would not be valid internationally. Given that, I think it makes more sense to buy the watch upon arrival.

That said, the link you shared says "To cover the LTE and UMTS bands used around the world, there are two separate cellular models for Apple Watch."

Yet the same page lists model A3281 as the only available Apple Watch Ultra 3 model in both countries, suggesting the watch should be able to use cellular there?
