Passwords popup randomly pops

I am actively outraged.

This popup keeps on spawning whatever i'm doing. I tried killing many services but it still ends up showing.

If I reboot, it goes away, yes right. But who has time to reboot ?

It started showing up after I used the password manager to autofill a field, I guess.

What can I do to know the exact reason why it showed up ? Are there event logs somewhere ?

It can also spawn when i'm writing or watching a video, I must click on it and click elsewhere to get rid of it.

I am on M2 Max 15.6.1 (24G90)

I have never seen this myself. But something is clearly not right. Have you checked through Settings for the Password app?

First thing I would try is safe boot. Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

Second thing I would try is update to 15.7.2 as your version of the OS is much older as if this is a bug it may have been fixed.

It's already enabled. I updated to 15.7.2, waiting for the bug to reproduce.

Yeah.

There's nothing about popping up the password overlay in the Password's app settings.

Well, if I had event logs or something I could have investigated but booting in safe mode and waiting for the bug to happen (if it happens!) is quite boring, I'm not going to do that.

I can indeed update, that is what I'm going to do. But I already had this bug since a very long time. (And i'm not the kind of person to install lots of software or system packages)

I'll make the update and keep you posted if it still happens
