MacBook Air Mail not syncing with iPhone

MacBook Air updated now Tahoe 26.1. unable to toggle on sync with my iPhone. I Receive mail on my iPhone 11 but not my MacBook Air. when I try to sync from my MacBook it will not work

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 26.1

Unless you using iCloud Mail, Mail is not going to sync. Mail such as Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc, etc is either fetched or pushed by the preferences you have set up in an mail app or on the email server your email is set up on.
