Apple Watch: Outdoor Walk music autoplay not working

I tap the 'Outdoor Walk' workout complication. Then the 'music' symbol (lower left). Then I switch ON the 'Autoplay Media. 'Choose Media' is enabled (checked). Under 'Selected Media' is shown a Playlist that is Dled to the watch. I go back and start the workout but the music doesn't play.

I would appreciate as suggestions as to the cause and/other cure of the music not playing.
