Cannot set key photo for albums in iOS/iPadOS

As of iOS / iPadOS 26, it appears you can no longer set the key photo for an album - either local or shared. Instead, when you open the album on either iPhone or iPad Photos, where the key photo used to reside it now just slowly scrolls through all the photos in the album. Bummer. Somebody at Apple thought this was a good idea, but I'd rather have the ability to set a key photo back!
