Critical Alerts Not Going on Apple Watch after WatchOS 26 install

So I use critical alerts to override silent on my phone and watch for my job. Since the iOS26 and watchOS 26 updates, I have had nothing but issues with critical alerts on my watch. No critical alerts will ever go off on my watch anymore. I have reset both devices, made sure the watch is mirroring my phone for the selected app, and made sure critical alerts are selected in notification settings. I also have that app white listed for alerts even if do not disturb or focus are on. No matter what I try, I get the same issue of critical alerts not going off on my watch anymore.
