My right air pod makes continuous hissing noise when places in my ear.

This occurs when they are in transparency or noise cancelling mode. The hissing is on top of any audio when I'm playing an audio or video clip. I tried resetting them and also adjusting every item I can find changing them one by one to see if this goes away. So far no luck and can anybody suggest other settings to try?
