Airpods 4 Settings Not Displayed

I want to change the touch settings for my Airpods 4 on my iPhone 16. When I open the settings I believe there should be a heading for “Press and Hold AirPods” and an option for left and right, or something similar to that. I do not get this option, the first thing is Name, then Call Controls, then under that is Camera Control, then Audio etc etc. For some reason the options for touch controls and listening modes has disappeared completely. i have been through everything, every accessibility setting I can think of. I have factory reset the headphones, restarted the phone and fully updated my iOS and nothing has worked. Is this a bug with the apple software? I can’t find anything online about this problem or any way to fix it. Please help!
