Emails missing from Mail folders on iPhone and iPad but not on MacBook

After I updated to iOS 26, email messages are missing from my Mail folders. I see them in the folders on my MacBook but the same folders are empty on my iPhone and iPad.

iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 26

On both devices remove the email account and add it back in.

Thanks. I deleted my gmail but I do not know how to delete the iCloud email.

I have never deleted my iCloud account off of Mail.
