Disabling text animation in Messeges in ios26

I just upgraded to ios26, and i really hate the way the text that I’m writing lights up and bounces every time I tap into a section of that text to edit it. It causes me a headache because I often find I’m editing the text. Is there a way to turn that off, or do I simply need to switch to another messenger like WhatsApp?
