How to safely remove Linux UTM and clear system data on MacBook Pro?

I installed a Linux UTM on my Macbook Pro 2021 M1, using ChatGPT as my guide.

What is the correct way to safely remove this Linux.UTM ?

How can I clear system data in the Linux UTM ? -- 34.62 GB in Linux_Untrunc.utm and 15.28 GB in Linux.utm?

For background, I asked CHATGPT, "can I recover the media on a card after I reformatted it one time in a Sony camera, use the camera's menu settings?"

ChatGPT said yes.

I also asked ChatGPT how to rename batches of media files to add the recording date.

Right-click on the guest name in UTM's list of guests and the means to remove the guest is on that menu. UTM has a fairly thorough guest installation/configuration guide. Cutting corners and depending upon ChatGPT for this is failing to see the warning that it could be wrong and those consequences. I take the time to review the vendor documentation, and never use ChatGPT. There is a reason they warn you at the bottom of the query that it may be wrong… heed that as it based on outdated or simply wrong information that trained it.

I have working, virtualized UTM X86_64 guests: OpenIndiana (Solaris 11.4) and Ubuntu 25.04 Linux.
