Airpods pro 3 not disconnecting after case is closed

I’ve reset the airpods, cleaned them as stated and still they wont disconnect from my iphone after I close the case. I have to manually disconnect each time. Anyone else having the same problem?? I just bought my airpods 3 yesterday and was upset they don’t support the Thai language for translation. I’m really hoping that it’s a software glitch that apple can fix through an update as far as the airpods not disconnecting.

[…]A temporary fix I found was to enable “automatic ear detection” in the Bluetooth settings of the AirPods. For me, the issue would only happen when that feature is turned off..

Mine seemed like it fixed itself to a degree. I also went to settings>general>Airplay and Continuity>And turned on Keep Audio with headphones. I saw this in apple news and decided to try it. After I turned it on my problem was fixed. Weird but it worked. I already had ear detection on the whole time but still had the problem.

I’m experiencing this too, bought the AirPods Pro 3 yesterday. I remember encountering a similar issue back then with the AirPods Pro 2, but somehow it just magically fixed itself lol.

Unpair these from the iPhone:

Note that AirPods cannot be unpaired remotely. This is because they are not assigned an IP Address. That means, you need to unpair these locally (IOW: from the iPhone itself). So, a few things here...

A. Turn Off ALL VPN Connections:

Are you using any VPN connections? If so, turn it off, as connectivity can get in the way here.

B. Reset these AirPods to Factory Settings...

  1. Go Here: Unpair, Restart, or Reset your AirPods - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: Return AirPods to factory settings
  3. Proceed from there as necessary

C. Remove these from your Device List:

  1. Go here: Remove a Device from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: Remove a device from the Devices list
  3. Proceed from these as necessary

The Ultimate Solution...

D. Reset your iPhone to Factory Settings:

The ultimate way would be to reset iPhone to Factory Settings. IMPORTANT: So, backup your iPhone a computer prior to this reset. That way, you can have something to restore it from, should anything go wrong from here on out.
