Transfer child to another account failed because URL from email cannot be opened
Hello, big Apple company.
Could you please revise the process of transferring a family member from one Family Sharing group to another? The step where the original family organizer has to approve the transfer seems... interesting — because the URL in the approval email cannot be opened on an iPhone (neither in Safari nor Chrome). It looks like it tries to open some phone settings, but apparently, the system just gives up.
I googled it, and wow — there are so many reports about issues with this “simple” process. Impressive! I can only imagine how complicated things must get when the process isn’t supposed to be simple.
