iPhone 15 Pro showing previous image in iMessage conversation

Here’s a screenshot of our conversation… ( the image is of some substance that I found on my trash dumpster and it freaked me out and I sent my neighbor a pic of it) and what else freaked me out is… her reply literally says 1 reply and a little image of what I sent her before her reply of WTH part!

i have never seen this before and it has never happened and we have shared many text and photos and this is a first for me…

Why, anyone know?? Thanks
