I just bought a new pair of AirPods Pro that were still factory sealed.
Before I even opened them, my iPhone showed a notification saying: “AirPods Pro 3 detected near you.” Showing the way from the store
Is this normal for new AirPods, or could it mean the product was previously activated?

Just to be clear, there is no such thing as factory sealed as shrink wrap is easily applied and identical looking packaging is readily available.
Some other details that may be relevant:
On a side note, I recently purchased the AirPods 3 at an Apple Store and there was no message stating they were traveling with me on my way home.
