Activity on AppleWatch Lagging in the Morning
Over the past week or so (both before and after watchOS 26.1) Activity recording and the Activity app itself has lagged every morning after first putting on the Watch. I get up, put on the Watch, and unlock it. I can then move around the house, get breakfast ready, and so on, and none of the rings move. When I launch Activity to see what's going on it comes up on the rings and then freezes. I can't move up and down to see the details on the three rings, and the rings themselves are all at zero (0). It takes between 10 - 30 minutes before it starts responding and collecting data. This morning I managed to get it working faster, but that involved manually closing the Activity app and relaunching it.
I really cannot pinpoint anything that might have caused this to start. As I mentioned it was happening last week, before 26.1, and it happened this morning even after the 26.1 update yesterday. It isn't really a show stopper, I usually get enough stand hours regardless, I'm just wondering what's going on and if I'm alone or if it's a bug of some sort affecting others.
