Most if not all applicationwindows re-home to macbook screen after every sleep event

I have two monitors connected to my 2023 16" MacBook Pro (M2 Max, 32Gb, 1Tb) on 15.7.2 machine. Every time it goes to sleep and wakes up, all my "carefully arranged" windows that I have on various virtual screens associated to each monitor mostly if not always end up back on the main virtual screen of the MacBook. Sometimes it forgets that the monitor is the "main" screen and the task switcher ends up on the MacBook screen after waking up instead of being on the monitor as indicated by the System preferences.
