WhatsApp backup stuck at 0% on iPhone with iOS 26.1

Hello everyone,

Since oct 11th, whatsapp doesn’t backup anymore.

It is stuck on 0%

• I updated to iOS 26.1 in hope that would help, unfortunately it didn’t
• iCloud storage: more than 1,5 TB left
• iPhone storage: 375 GB left
• iCloud Drive is on in iCloud settings
• Whatsapp is on in iCloud settings
• I can’t offload the app, there is no option in settings
• I turned end-to-end encryption on and off I am on wifi, and phone is charging

Please, if anyone has any advice?
