Apple Watch Ultra not downloading songs over Spotify

I just got an Apple Watch Ultra and am unable to download songs directly onto my watch from Spotify this is one of the main features I bought the product and am disappointed it’s not working. The button is there and lets me press on it but it does nothing beyond that very frustrating.
